Plain English, because you deserve to know how I make money before you take my advice.
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up for a tool through one of them, I may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you. I only recommend software I actually use on client campaigns, and nobody pays me to say nice things about their product.
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. If you click it and later become a paying customer of that company, they pay me a referral commission. Your price is unchanged, and in several cases it is actually lower, because partner links sometimes carry a discount the public pricing page does not.
Affiliate links on this site are marked for search engines with rel="sponsored" and open in a new tab. Where I have a commercial relationship with a tool I mention, you will find a note like this one next to it.

Where a tool I earn from is genuinely the right answer, I say so. Where it is not, I say that too — a commission is worth far less to me than a client who trusts my recommendations. If you ever think a recommendation on this site is driven by the payout rather than the merits, tell me and I will either justify it properly or change it.
Every tool you buy stays yours. I never own your accounts, your subscriptions or your data, and my service fees are entirely separate from any commission a vendor pays me. You can ignore every affiliate link on this site, buy direct, and still hire me — nothing about my pricing or the service changes.
