Why Smartlead rather than another platform?
Smartlead handles inbox rotation and warmup at the scale cold email needs, and it lets you keep ownership of the account. You pay Smartlead directly, I work inside your account as a user, and if we ever stop working together nothing moves and nothing is lost.
How many mailboxes do I actually need?
Roughly 170 for the Launch plan, 340 for Scale and 850 for Volume. Sending volume has to be spread across many mailboxes to stay deliverable — pushing the same volume through fewer inboxes is the fastest way to burn your domains.
How long before emails start landing reliably?
Domains need two to three weeks of warmup before they carry real volume. I would rather start slowly and have a sending infrastructure that lasts than blast on week one and have every domain blacklisted by week three.
Do you write the emails or do I?
I write them. Copywriting, sequencing and follow-ups are all included, and subject lines and body copy are A/B tested continuously against what is actually getting replies.
Can email run alongside my SMS campaigns?
Yes, and it usually should. They reach the same owner through different channels, and leads from both can flow into Follow Up Boss so your team works one pipeline rather than two.
